These guys need to go to a major football, baseball or even collage stadium to learn how to get things done. Where again they didn’t know how to get traffic out quickly afterwards. You pay $25 to park and it’s a mile away. Then it started thundering and apparently you can’t even buy a bottle of water when they funnel everyone out of the stands to stand out of the storm. The concession stands were sparse and took forever to get a Pepsi. we were 45 min late getting in waiting to vortex through the funnel of thousands of people. It’s a no bag policy so there shouldn’t have been a big wait time. This hotel is 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from Ohio Stadium and 2.6 mi. Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, youll be near the airport, within a 5-minute drive of Mapfre Stadium and Ohio History Center. They had plenty of locked gates on all sides they could be letting people in. Search All Hotels Near: Scioto Country Club. They only had one gate on each side open with several lines funneling down to let people into two lanes get through the gate. Needless to say I’m guessing the soccer games are not highly attended because this stadium crew had no idea how to handle large crowds nor the traffic. I’m sure they are getting tons of complaints! Rightfully so. They didn’t even have the staff to get people off the field and out of their seats to the sheltered area. It started lighting really bad (never did storm) but bad lighting. The line to get into the stadium was the craziest long line I’ve ever seen. The opening act started and there wasn’t even anyone in the stadium. Concert started at 5 and they JUST started letting people in a few minutes before 5. Finally after spending 25 minutes complaining to the ushers, missing the show, FINALLY they stepped it up right before Kenny came on. Lord forbid there ever be a true emergency at this stadium. Why pay $200 plus for a ticket when you let people who didn’t crowd the aisle ways. Kenny Chesney concert was ran horrible in every aspect! The entertainment was amazing, but do NOT give your hard earned money to this joke of a venue!! Go to another city. I would be ashamed to have my company name adorn this abomination. have been to HUNDREDS of concert venues, and this was BY FAR THE WORST CONCERT VENUE EVER! Well done. Kenny Chesney gave a good performance, which I was surprised we even got to see! Beers were only $66 a six pack! (666? How apropos!) They were charging $5 for a soda, and even more for WATER! Knowing the horrible traffic control here, we booked out of there early. After waiting in line for over an hour, we were told that they had run out of hot dogs, pretzels, and everything but nachos! We caught the last song of the third act of four. We waited a long time to use the bathroom facilities, as the second act of four acts finished up. We had to stand in yet another line for several minutes to receive a wrist band to be allowed to access our seats on the field. We were slowly funneled into payment area where I was hijacked for $25 to drive another mile from the stadium to park in a mud hole suitable for a hippo! We stood in line another half hour to reach security. These hotels offer the best in customer service and amenities, and are located in prime locations in the city. It’s rather difficult to describe how atrocious our experience at Mapfre Stadium was for a Kenny Chesney concert, but I’ll give it a shot… We waited for quite some time on the highway to get into the parking area.
